A Talk between Jim and Brown

Summary

When Jim came to know about the arrival of the foreigners, he decided to talk with them. He shouted the name of Brown to speak up. The moment Brown saw Jim, all his thought of alliance and forming understanding expunged from his mind. He began to hate him. Brown threatened Jim not to treat him lightly because he was much stronger. Jim said scornfully not to overestimate himself (Brown). Brown then told Jim either to provide them enough food and let them go back or come and fight. He probed into Jim's life and this reminded Jim of his misconduct during Patna's accident. He immediately turned lenient towards Brown.
