Line. 662-666: Nor uglier.....follow at their charms.

Arrived at the gates of Hell Satan saw them closely guarded by two hideous monsters, one of whom was Sin, and she was surrounded by a pack of hounds, which immediately got into her womb, the moment they saw him. Milton compares these hell-hounds with those that were supposed to follow the night-hag, when invoked after a sacrifice of infants, she comes riding through the air, tempted by the smell of their blood in order to dance with the witches of Lapland, while the moon goes through an eclipse. The hell-hounds were far more ugly than these shadowy dogs of the night-hag.
