Chapter 61: I Am Shown Two Interesting Penitents

David was staying with his aunt and was engaged in writing a book. He had already become a famous author. His old school master, Mr. Creakle had now become a Middlesex magistrate. He had invited him and Traddles to see his model prison the only prison which truly reformed its prisoners. He especially wanted to show two penitent prisoners to his students. On the appointed day when David and Traddles visited the prison, they were shown two difficult prisoners who had now reformed. The two visitors recognized these to be Uriah Heep and Littimer. They also learned that Miss Mowcher had handled Littimer's case. However, neither David nor Traddles were convinced that these two rogues had reformed.
